“As a Baltimore City Fire Captain, I'm no stranger to high pressure and fast-moving situations. That’s why stepping into Chauncey’s felt like second nature. Since 2016, I’ve been the unofficial jack-of-all-trades—handling everything from prep work and driving to building, fixing, and problem-solving behind the scenes. By day I put out blazes across the city, and by night I help make sure everything in our kitchen runs smooth and cool.”

Meet Justin whose personal mantra is "the only easy day was yesterday". He was the primary catalyst for Chef Melanie taking the leap of faith into entrepreneurship. Since 2016, Justin has been thee unofficial jack of all trades—sous chef, prep cook, builder, fixer, driver, problem solver, logistics master, taste tester, voice of reason, and whatever else the day and event calls for.
BECOMING A CATALYST FOR GROWTH
By day, he literally puts out fires across Baltimore City. By night, he helps manage all the fires running a business tends to create!
Behind so much of Chauncey’s growth is a man who believed in the vision when it was just an idea—and who continues to show up, roll up his sleeves, and bring the balance and calm amidst change.
